Here is a nice Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty from 1975. It has had a professional refret with jumbo frets, so the frets show very little wear, and means the guitar can rock for another 35 years. The Ebony fretboard is in perfect shape, and looks and feels fantastic. Personally, I find these black Customs the most visually appealing of all Les Pauls, with the multiple binding, gold hardware, and pearl inlays really giving a classy look. Other than the refret and possibly the selector switch knob, the guitar is totally original. It has play wear, pick and swirl marks on the body, light scratching on the back, some tarnishing and fading of the gold-plated hardware and pickup covers, but is a really nice example of a more-than-35-year-old vintage Gibson Les Paul. There are no cracks, breaks or repairs. Neck is a nice medium size, and weight is 9 lbs 12.4 oz. The guitar plays and sounds just as awesome as it looks. Even the original Gibson hard shell case is in good condition, except for the fact that the handle went west some time in the past! Hinges, latches, tolex and lining are all good and commensurate with the condition of the guitar. This is obvuously a guitar which has been well played, but also well cared for.
