This vintage Ibanez copy of a Gibson 'reverse' korina Firebird falls right in the 'lawsuit' era. In the autumn of 1963 to mid-1965 Gibson produced the "Reverse Firebird:, which featured;
Note some transition Firebirds during the summer of 1965 had mixed reverse and non-reverse features, and it is one of these that Ibanez obviously used as a reference when they made this guitar, as it displays the non-reverse headstock design, giving a very cool and rare result! This rare guitar comes in its original hard shell case. There are some markings to the body (see detailed pics) but the guitar is incredibly original and complete, except for the missing tremolo arm.
