Here is a very beautiful vintage Fender Jaguar dating from late 1965. It is one that displays the very special (indeed unique) 1965 look with the bound white neck with dot inlays - absolutely stunning. The bound neck with dot inlays was first introduced in 1965 for a very short time and over flowed into 1966 for only the first part of the year, before Fender changed to block inlays with neck binding. To many, the Jaguar with a bound neck with dot inlays are the most desired model. Binding and dot inlays were never seen again until recently with the Thinline Jag and of course the Kurt reissue Jag which is actually a blending of the 1965 neck and body with custom pickups and bridge. Pots date to the 30th week of 1965, while the neck date is October 1965. Serial number on the 'F' neckplate is 123754. The guitar comes with its original plush-lined tolex case - check out the detailed photographs by following the 'moe pictures' link below. Other than a little finish checking on the back (no belt buckle marks) and the occasional small mark on the body, this guitar is immaculate. The original finish on the neck is unmarked, and the original frets display virtually no wear. The mute is still in place (and operational) as is the original bridge cover. A truly gorgeous and very affordable mid '60s vintage Fender for either the collector or the musician. Sold to Allan
